The Marshall Board of Directors

Honoring the leadership, service, and family commitment that help preserve the success of the Marshall Family Reunion each year.

The Marshall Family Board of Directors was established in 1992 during the 30th Annual Reunion in Fort Worth, Texas. It was determined that in order to ensure the success of the annual reunions, it was necessary to have a forum where family members could present plans and manage the financial business of the reunion.

Serving in that role in the past has been:

Past Board Members

  • Theresa Smith Browne
  • Dr. Darlene Ruffin Alexander
  • Aletha Smith Asberry
  • Bobbye Bell Lowe
  • Lillian Thompson Mackey
  • Kasetta Keats

The current seven-member board includes committees that are open to all members of the family. Annual meetings are held at the beginning of each family reunion. Guidelines for board membership can be obtained from the board chair or any member.

The Marshall Family Meetings are held annually prior to the first event on reunion weekend. Meetings are generally scheduled in a meeting room at the designated host hotel.

All family members are eligible to serve on the Board of Directors after actively serving on a committee for one full term of five years and meeting the financial criteria as outlined in the guidelines.

If you have interest in serving on the Board, please complete the reunion registration form and indicate your request in the appropriate space.
